Digital Wellness Academy
PLATFORM ARCHITECTURE

Compliance, safety, coaching, and content scale on one engine.

Digital Wellness Academy is the behavioral-health vertical on a manifest-driven platform architecture. Licensees configure brand, compliance posture, safety routing, curriculum visibility, and provider workflows without forking the engine.

Manifest layer

No engine fork per licensee

Practice branding, curriculum visibility, PHI mode, retention policy, provider workflows, and AI guardrails are declared as configuration. New schools and tracks expand the content corpus without changing the runtime engine.

Safety layer

MAIA before every LLM call

The MAIA distress classifier gates coaching turns, onboarding free text, journal entries, forum posts, and assessment notes. Crisis routing can short-circuit the model path and surface 988 plus provider alerts.

Crisis detection is expanding beyond English: a multilingual MAIA distress classifier covering English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese has been built and validated end-to-end. English meets the production safety bar today; Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese are in clinical review before activation.

RAG layer

Grounded in the licensed curriculum

The coach and provider search retrieve from the DWA lesson, assessment, and clinical-reference corpus. Content updates re-seed the retrieval index quickly, keeping answers tied to approved material.

Why this matters to institutions

Provider practices get a branded care-extension layer with patient progress, assessments, alerts, and session-prep summaries. Universities and enterprises get population-level visibility without turning every learner interaction into a clinical record by default.

The same architecture supports deeper technical review: model promotion gates, classifier spot-check labels, alert lifecycle audit trails, tenant-scoped analytics, and cost-aware model routing. The Nebius application documents those proof points in detail.
